Mini-reports for Czech TV

Every month we bring news from where we are to the kids on the Czech-kids-TV-channel. 2 minutes to share our experience and to connect children from different cultures : those we.filmed, and those who watch. We are really happy to serve as a "window to the world" for so many children and on top, we have a professional team guiding us. And we love learning as reporters!

We are super happy to work with the Czech television, because it allows us to share our experiences with many children at the same time and to make the link between children of different cultures!

On the Czech national channel there is a newscast every evening, especially for children. Their editor-in-chief suggested that the children of our expedition be part of their team of little reporters. Every month, they send out a new story with videos, which are then turned into mini-reports lasting about 2 minutes. This way, Czech children see the world through the eyes of their traveling companions.

Arthur, Cailin and Naomi put all their creativity and curiosity to the benefit of the reports. They invent them together. Of course, for the moment Petr and Denisa help them a lot ... And in his own way, even Enzo takes part in it. Interviews are what they love the most. Everything is prepared beforehand: what to talk about, what to film. And then it begins. Arthur throws the camera, and the girls ask the questions.

But the biggest work begins afterwards, in peace, in my cabin which turns into a studio. Choose the best sequences, shorten them, prepare the commentary ... It takes time! But everyone is doing their part and things are going faster and faster. Fortunately we have the support of Czech television and especially Eliška or Hanka, who take care of us.

What do these “Czech mini-news” look like?
It's a short 5-minute newscast, with 3 themes per evening: a report from abroad (whare our is indeed put), one from "home" (= from the Czech Republic) and a third on sport. And in the end, there is always a wether forecast.

To give you a more precise idea, here is an example of our two favorit reports put together, about phoque rescue in the Neitherlans and about plastic waste, where we have English subtitles.

A few photos from our journalist advanture:

from turning about organic farmers in Southern France

from turning about "ludothèque" in France

from turnng about the French school

from turning about frozen channels in the Netherlands

from turning about phoque rescue and plastic waste in oceans, the Netherlands

from turning about wind mills in the Netherlands

from turning about accordeonists in Belgium

from turning about marine tortures, Monaco

from turning about marine tortules in Antibes, France

from turning about Andorra

from turning about Camino de Santiago in Spain

We have a lot of fun, when we turn our videos for mini-news, especially when we film with children. That one about the French school was so funny that we even made a short video about it. We call it "maing-of",

If you wish to see more videos and you do not mind to listen this non-undrestable "music" of the Czech language, here is the link to all our Czech mini-news in a row broadcasted so far.

We learn so much with each new mini-news we create and we like this experience so much, that we hope to make real film documentaries one day !
